When a customer completes a WooCommerce purchase, their contact record is created or updated in your CRM, the order is logged as a deal or activity, the correct tags and segments are applied, and any follow-up sequence (thank you, cross-sell, review request) is triggered automatically. Bidirectional sync means data flows both ways — from WordPress to your CRM, and from your CRM back to WordPress. You need it when your CRM holds data that should affect your site — for example, if a contact's membership status in HubSpot should unlock content on your WordPress site, or if a deal being marked 'closed won' in your CRM should trigger a WooCommerce order. Most simple lead capture setups only need one-directional sync.

If you're using a less common form plugin, I'll check compatibility before starting.
